Hello- I am looking for a good camcorder to take on trips that will allow us to get good quality movies and have great zoom capabilities. What would you recommend. Also it needs to be easy to use since we are older and idiots.

LCD is the screen you look at. This is really your best option for ease of use as well as quality.

Right no tapes you could take that SD card to walmart and have a DVD burned. I do not know of any Camcorders that have tapes.
So the distance will get magnified up to how far away?
Can you edit the film and everything? I know I'm dumb so I'm turning this over to my husband who is dumb too but not as bad?

As for editing you can but would need a computer to do so. That is going to be with any of the new Camcorders.
