Courtney B
Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at the Flashpoint ZoomLion?
Did you have some questions about this flash tonight?
HI. Well, I'm a photo teacher and looking into purchasing some new equipment for my classes...but I don't know where to start.
Courtney B
Ok!
What type of gear are you looking to purchase?
AND let me clarify...I am NEW to the photo world more or less!
Courtney B
Ok :-)
Did you sign up for our educator's discount?
No I did not! Did not even know you have one. haha!
Courtney B
Let me send you a link!
Here's where you can apply :-) https://www.adorama.com/pages...
Thank you. And I'm going to try to explain what I'm looking for...
Courtney B
Ok, sure!
I have 2 back drops in my classroom, one black and one white. I have Nikon 3200 cameras. I need lights that react with the camera. My friend had some that hooked into her computer and you could see the photo on your computer right away.
Courtney B
Ok
I would like a variety of lenses for my advanced students to "play" with and learn with.
Courtney B
Alright!
Are you looking for lenses in a certain budget?
Which lenses do you have at this time?
55 and 200mm. That's it.
Courtney B
Ok
What types of things do you want the new lenses to do that your current two lenses don't do?
I have 10,000 to spend (!)...but I also need to buy some manual black and white 35mm.
Courtney B
Ok!
I really don't know where to start, But I do know that I would like to be able to take more indoor photos...still-lifes, portraits, etc.
Ohio is COLD and ICKY in the winter...need time to be inside.
Courtney B
Ok!
OH, and to answer your questions above...I don't reallly know. Maybe Wide Angle lens? Macro?
Courtney B
Ok!
Sounds good!
Let me bring up some lens options
Great. thanks
Courtney B
One minute :-)
Here's one lens option for macro photography
It's a really nice lens and has vibration reduction, which is perfect for macro work
That seems great.
Courtney B
It is!
Now for a wide angle option
I think the students like MACRO...and we go to the Botanical Gardens in the Winter. :-)
Courtney B
I'm sure they will! It's a really fun type of photography
For a wide angle lens, I really like this Sigma 10-20mm lens
Another really great lens for a low cost is the Nikon 50mm f/1.8G lens. It offers that shallow depth of field (blurred background) that people really like in photographs
It's great for portraits or just general shooting
Nice. Thank you!!!
Courtney B
You're welcome!
I'm going to definitely save these choices. I really appreciate your help. Thank you! I like reading the reviews!
Courtney B
You're very welcome!
Another thing to look into might be the CamRanger Remote. You said that you wanted to be able to send a photo directly to a computer after it's taken, and this will allow you to do that
awesome.
Courtney B
It also lets you see what the camera is looking at on your computer screen
It's a really useful tool
Plus it's wireless and can control the camera from up to 150 feet away
perfect! This is exactly what I need.
Courtney B
Great!
Thanks again for your help! gotta get the boys to bed...so I'm signing out! Have a great night.
Courtney B
Ok! Sounds great!
Have a nice night too :-)
