Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at the Canon 70D?
Did you have some questions about this camera tonight?
Hi, is there much difference between the canon T5 and 70d?
If so, what are the differences
Courtney B
Yes, there are
Let me go over them
Okay
Courtney B
The Canon 70D is considered a prosumer body. Between professional and consumer level
This means that it has a larger viewfinder, weather sealed body, more durable build, a better quality screen, and longer battery life
It also has faster autofocus, faster shooting, a self-cleaning sensor, better image quality, a touch screen, more focus points, and an external mic jack for better video
Okay thank you
Does a 70d have to have a special lens, or are cannon lenses interchangeable?
Courtney B
Canon lenses are interchangeable
Thank you
Courtney B
You're welcome!
Same for tripods?
Courtney B
Yes, this has a standard tripod mount
So you can use it with any standard tripod
How many steps up is there between a t5 and 70d?
Okay thank you
Courtney B
The T5i/T6i would be the step between
is there a difference between t6i and 60d?
Courtney B
Yes, there is
It's basically the same differences as above
The T6i is still a very simplistic camera. It's very close to the T5, but has a few more menu options
Okay and is 60 above 70?
Courtney B
60 is the older version of the 70
Okay got it thanks!
Courtney B
You're welcome!
So a 70d would be considered for wedding photographers etc? or is that still a low level to do that type of shooting with?
Courtney B
That's still a lower level than wedding photographers typically use
Okay
Courtney B
I would say that most use a full frame professional camera, such as the 5D Mark III
Would you say it's mostly the editing that has a big play in photos?
Courtney B
No, not at all
Since most wedding photographers take hundreds of photos, the goal is to edit as little as possible
A full frame camera will do better in low light situations, which is really important for weddings
Okay thanks!
Courtney B
You're very welcome!
I was trying to get an idea, because I feel like there are a ton of amateur photographers all of a sudden doing weddings with simple cameras- and I want to know what is good
Courtney B
There certainly are. The gear isn't necessarily going to create beautiful photos on its own, but if you're shooting weddings, it's important to have durable gear that can withstand a full day of shooting
Okay
Courtney B
That's why it's so important to have a backup camera as well in case of a failure
I just want to know for recommending people- I have a t5, so no weddings being taken here lol
Courtney B
Sounds great :-)
;-)
Courtney B
Make sure to stop back in chat if you ever have any further questions, ok?
Okay will do! One more thing- t5's can be used for senior protraits and baby pictures?
Courtney B
Absolutely!
Okay good news
Courtney B
:-)
Thank you very much for your help!
Courtney B
You're welcome!
Have a great evening :-)
Thank you, you as well!
Courtney B
Thanks!
