my wife wants to get into photography and i am looking to purchase either a Canon T5 or a Nikon d3200. She has no experience besides standard digital cameras. Which would you recommend?

awesome, this sounds good.. i have done some research and it seems a lot of the cameras found online are through "gray market" sellers

this camera kit comes with everything you'll need, except a memory card

yes. If you'll be shooting any video, I'd get a faster speed card but that's not as vital for still shots
but the camera will shoot full HD video if you want to use that
maybe some, what type of card would you recommend?

the Nikon will give more detail in the highlights and shadows, and better color too

If you get the repair and replace, it will cover mechanical defects.
if you get the one with drops and spills coverage, that also covers accidental damage
