Hi! I'm Dan. How are you? Did you have a question on the Coolpix S9900 camera?
What is the warranty on the refurbished-by-Nikon cameras? Is it the standard one-year Nikon warranty or a 90-day warranty by Adorama?
Daniel H.
it includes a 90 day Nikon warranty on refurbished items.
So 90-day warranty by Nikon, serviced by Nikon if needed? Not return to Adorama? Right?
Daniel H.
yes, correct. You would use an authorized Nikon center of your choice.
Okay, Thanks. I had been waiting for the new A900 to buy for my wife, and placed an order in mid0-June when I thought the "arrive in store" date was early July. But not it's posted as "mid-October" and we have a 10-dady trip to Grand Teton National Park 3rd week in Sept. So I need to go to Plan B. My wife wants a tiltable screen to see better in sunlight. Any other suggestions besides a refurbished S9900?
Daniel H.
sorry to hear we won't have the a900 available prior to that. Let me see what I can come up with.
Did you want to stay within the point and shoot style?
yes. point and shoot my wife doesn't want to tolderate using a DSLR.
And she wants something small to put in her purse/pocket. Had an early generation Canon ELF and enjoyed it for several years.
Daniel H.
okay awesome..
did you have a budget range you needed to stay within?
$300 to $450. just got a new Nikon D500 so I can't be too low-end for her.
Daniel H.
there is this Sony HX 90 V
30x optical and a 3 inch swivel screen w/ nfc and wifi hdmi out
there are a couple of larger p&s that mimic a dslr but are lighter and don't have swap lenses. not sure if that is an interest? as they may be too much like a slr
Okay, thanks. You've given me some good options. Signing off now.

an olympus style tg 870 would also be an option.. it is a more rugged camera.. may be ideal for a good second camera options as it is more durable?
okay cool..
