Well, Dan, I'm looking to purchase a camera with a long lens for wildlife photos. Been eyeing the P610, but Adorama indicates it's no longer available. What would you suggest in the 50x to 60x range?

Not necessary, I love my Olympus Tough and have an old Kodak 980 that's great, so I'm open.

This is a current Nikon model with a 83x zoom.
let me look at some other brands too..
The 83x zoom is a bit too heavy to lug around.

we also have this Canon 65x.. it has an instant rebate right now
the screen rotates and pivots -- something I found handy on my camera when in Panama last March in the mountains trying to get a great shot
were there any other features you were looking for secondary for a decent zoom?
