Still narrowing down the results
The Nikon P900 is my first suggestion
It has a really powerful 83x zoom
And excellent image quality
The Panasonic FZ300 is another great option
It only has 24x zoom which is still great, just not quite as much compared to that Nikon :-)
we will be in Alaska with it

I will have my pro gear but want something for landscapes, quick wildlife shots, and airplane ride

The Sony HX400 is another great option with 50x zoom
These are all excellent choices for something like that
those all look like great choices. decisions decisions. Any smaller cameras? We have a canon sx60

None of the smaller options are going to have this much zoom or a viewfinder
Which does actually have 30x zoom
Would that be enough zoom?
ok. what replaced the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS50K 30X ? I can live without superzoom, just want the best image quality and stabilization
