Jeff H.
i was planning to buy a DSLR
Jeff H.
My name is Jeff, how can I assist you?
confused between the D500 and D750
Jeff H.
What questions do you have about these cameras?
which is futureproof and bang for my money
i generally shoot portraits and landscapes
Jeff H.
The D500 is the newest and the best bang for your buck in my opinion
Jeff H.
It has the most focus points, faster frames per second
That really does not matter as much nowadays. There are a lot of people comparing the cameras and saying they prefer the D500
Even though it is a DX body
I can easily say. If I was making the choice today I would choose the D500 personally
Jeff H.
usually what happens if i use a FX lens on my DX body
Jeff H.
FX lenses work very well on a DX body without any problems
so the other way round is a problem
Jeff H.
In a way, it makes the FX camera go into DX mode
and does it multiply the focal length by 1,5
Jeff H.
so effectively i get 105-300mm
Jeff H.
Yes that is why I like DX bodies, for the extra reach
if its a 70-200mm FX lens
But i have been talking to lot of people
Jeff H.
Personally I shoot a lot of sporting events so that is a big plus and saves me money in lenses
which FX lens would use suggest for landscapes
i refer wide angle sharp lenses
Jeff H.
Truthfully, I would suggest the Sigma eight – 16mm even though it is a DX lens. It is extremely sharp and will give you the same field of view as 12 – 24 mm on a FX camera. You cannot get wider on either camera without going to a fisheye lens
Jeff H.
Jeff H.
That will be the widest lens you can get
does sigma DC means DX lenses
Jeff H.

This Tokina 11 – 16 is another popular UWA lens
and why are they cheaper than nikon lens
is it because they are heavy
Jeff H.
To sell them. They are excellent lenses. Personally I prefer Sigma and have quite a few of their lenses.
i have used the sigma 18-35mm DX lens
Jeff H.
Nikon's are built like a tank, but we do not always need the extra durability. I have never had a problem with my Sigma lenses concerning build quality
are these lenses weather proof
Jeff H.
They do not claim to be. But I have used the Sigma 70 – 200 and their new 50 – 100 in dusty environments and do not have dust inside the lens.
Jeff H.
I have used them in light rains as well.
Thanks jeff for the inputs
Jeff H.
You're very welcome. Did you have other questions I can help you with?

Jeff H.
