Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at the Sony A5100?
Did you have some questions about this camera tonight?
I am helping a friend find a full frame digital SLR with interchangeable lenses. She will need a wide angle lens, as well as a basic 24 x70. My former boss bought a compact Sony and loved it. She needs lightweight as she has issues with her hands. I have a Canon Mark II, so she could never even practice with that! Recommendations, please! I will see her on Tuesday.
Courtney B
Ok, great!
The Sony A6000 and A6300 would be my top two recommendations! They're fantastic cameras!
Full frame? Shoot in RAW?
Courtney B
Not full frame
But they do shoot in RAW
Do they take CF cards or SanDisk? Can she get 1.8 lenses?
Courtney B
They take SD cards and yes there are f/1.8 lenses available
These are the lens choices available http://www.adorama.com/l/Lens...
She hopes to get into real estate photography once she moves to FL, so will the full frame impact that? What lens do you recommend for the wide angle? I was looking at the 16-55.
Courtney B
I would actually probably go with the 10-18mm for real estate due to the crop factor
Which would make it a 15-27mm equivalent on a full frame
Which is more in line with what you'd need for real estate
OK, great. For parallax adjustments, etc? Finally, can she get a remote for this - as her hands are bad and she can use that once set up on a tripod. Many thanks for all of your help. I am hoping I can print this out to show her - so don't disappear just yet!
Courtney B
Both the A6000 and A6300 can be used with Sony's app to shoot remotely
I can't get it all in - I forget how to take screenshots on my iMac! I only know how to do it on my iPhone!
Courtney B
You can press "shift+command+4" to screenshot portions of your screen
Just drag the box around what you want screenshot
Sorry that there isn't an easier way
Do you have any other questions? Or is there anything else I can help you with? I'm happy to help if there is!
I think this is a great start. MANY thanks for your time. She will be thrilled to learn about this - albeit shocked at how much cameras with interchangeable lenses cost! Thanks again. Have a great night!

You're welcome!
