Which Nikon entry level DSLR should I buy - the D5500, D5300, or D5200?

Hi, welcome to Adorama! My name is Cory. Do you have camera questions? Or how about questions on a lens? How can I help you today?
Hi! So i'm looking to try to buy a DSLR today. Ive been focused on the 5500, 5300 and 5200. Unfortunatley, at the moment I do have a $500 price range.
Cory R.
Ok sure.
and I really have researched the 5500 and obviously no luck staying in my price range with that
Cory R.
Yeah they are over the budget, even refurbished
but, I have been recently using a canon 60d, so i feel like starting out with nikon I should start more simple anyways just to learn nikon and I can always upgrade in the future. Anyways, I do alot of night/astrophotography and animals/landscape/etc.
so could you help me find a DSLR in my price range with good lowlight noise and just something that will please me with my night photos. Is there even another camera brand you can reccomend?
Like I said I don't know nikon haha
Cory R.
Do you have a problem with used? And I am a Nikon shooter, but you might get more camera and lens out of Canon but you aren't getting as much camera at that point
Mmm, as long as you can guarantee it's going to be just as reliable as a new camera and have no issues
Cory R.
As long as you get a good condition, it should be just fine.
Okay, do you sell used on here?
Cory R.
Yes we do
could you possibly direct me to one that looks good?
Cory R.
Here's a D5200 for under 300, and you can then get a used lens to go with it
okay ill check that out
but is the 5200 a good camera in general?
Cory R.
It's a good camera yes.
Okay thank you
Cory R.
You're welcome.
