Hi! Welcome to Adorama! How are you today? My name is Anne. How can I help you?
Good morning!
Are you shopping for extension tubes?
Good morning.
Anne A.
How can I help you today?
Yes never have used them and I am a beginner in photographer but want to do macro. I have a Canon 70D with the 18-135mm lens and a 50mm 1.8 lens. Will these extensions work for me?
Anne A.
yes!
The lenses you have won't let you focus close enough for macro
that is what these extention tubes will do
you'll be able to focus much closer
Well my dream is to get the 100mm 2.8 Canon lens but that's in the future for now. thank you for helping me.
Anne A.
that's a great lens!
the Tokina 100mm macro lens is an alternative
it tests just as sharp, and it costs less
Really. I will have to check it out. The extensions I am looking at will auto focus right?
Anne A.
they will not
you'll have to manually focus with extension tubes
Ok maybe I'd rather spend that money on a lens then! Food for thought.
Anne A.
that Tokina is a great lens! the extension tubes will get the job done in the mean time though :-)
I am going to take a hard look at the lens. You have peaked my interest! Thanks so much for your help. Have a great day!
Anne A.
you're welcome!
have a great day!
