Hi Jess, I just received an email about travel dollars up to $1,000 if I make a purchase by tomorrow. I've been thinking about adding the 100-400 lens and 1.4 extender to my equipment. Am I correct in assuming this combination will work fine on my 5dIII body? Also, what are the limitations on the travel dollars and where can they be used?

The 100-400mm is compatible, however
AF will not be possible on it
What types of situations will you be shooting with it?
Wildlife. I thought I heard or read that it would focus up to a certain fstop such as perhaps 5.6 or 8 but not beyond.

Generally you do need a f/2.8 at least,
On the 5DIII AF won't be possible

Yes. It arrived just a few minutes ago. When I opened it says i can receive up to $1,000 in travel dollars if I make a $1,000 purchase by tomorrow.
