I do. Why would I want this more or less than the canon 100IS

Honestly? You wouldn't. The Tamron is an excellent lens! But since I personally own the Canon 100L IS lens, I know that it's slightly better than the Tamron
But if the Tamron fits your budget a little better, you should know that it's still a very high quality lens!
But I find that the Canon 100L IS gives slightly sharper results and more consistent focus

Im thinking I want to buy the canon quite frankly. But I'm also looking at flashes. Specifically the speedlite 600. But I know there is an off brand on of those too. Plus I need a better tripod since the 6d and the 600mm lens weigh so much. Any success with the offbrand flash?

final question. I buy the canon 100IS and two of these flashes. Now a good choice for a reasonably priced tripod which will securely hold my 6d and the tamaron telephoto?

Not that I am aware of. will use your suggestion. Just something secure. they almost fell off of the one I currently have.
