is there a big difference with the other brands and is it nice and sharp for portraits?
i'm trying to decide if I want to get a sony or nikon version i have a d750 and a sony a6300
i know on the sony it will be a 36-100 equivalent

which camera do you use more?
it depends if i want to be stelth or not
i have a yoga studio and often i need to be silent when taking photos

the Sigma 24-70 doesn't have a Sony E mount version

so you'd have to get the Nikon version and use an adapter
and then it'd be manual focus
there is a sony alpha version, but that wont' work on the A6000
IC
but if i get the nikon and the adapter it will work on the sony too

those lenses are comparable. The Nikon performs a little better, but the Sigma is priced a lot better
which is faster to focus do you think?

The NIkon is a bilt faster, but they are very comparable

the aperture isn't changed by the crop sensor
the Sony 28-70 is f3.5-5.6
