Hi! I'm Jackie! How are you? I would love to answer any lens/camera questions you have.
Are you shopping for a lens today? How may I help?
Hi, I'm Elizabeth. It's been recommended to me that a Canon 10-18 mm is a good very wide angle lens for crop sensors and I own a Canon 7D. But it's not a fast lens. I have the Canon 17-55 f/2.8 but it's not nearly as wide, considering its 27-88 vs the 10-18's 16-28 equivalent in 35mm. I find my f/2.8 not to be so sharp sometimes. Comments please?

Wil you be shooting indoors or outdoors with it?
Jackie L.
Will you be doing landscapes?
Jackie L.
it is a good lens for outdoor shooting and fast enough for outdoors
it is not an indoor lens, but you can use it if you have flash or strobes
Is there a L lens that will be better on my 7D
Jackie L.
yes do you have a price range in mind?
Well...L is expensive but give me your suggestions.
Jackie L.
the widest with an L lens is 11-24 but super expensive
hold on, I have a lens for you
Thought so, tooooo expensive. And on my 7 D is will be less width...right?

the Tokina 11-16 is a very popular pro lens and fast and great in low light
it is an f/2.8 lens and only 439.00
Great for indoor and outdoor wide angle shooting
and the one I would recommend for your camera
Now you are in my price range with both of these lenses. What is your honest opinion of my 17-55 f/2.8?
Jackie L.
It is a good lens for general wide angle and good for events, group portraits etc
Thanks very much. I'm finished right now but I am pleased over the price range of the two you gave me. That's all for now.
