What full frame coverage alternatives are there to the Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro lens?

Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at the Sigma 24-70mm lens?
Did you have some questions about this lens tonight?
Looking for a Sigma DC 17-70mm 1;28-4.5 Macro HSM
Courtney B
Ok!
Do you need it in Nikon mount?
Nikon 750 just bought from Adorama
Courtney B
Ok!
This is a crop sensor lens though
So it won't work great with your D750
Get smaller image?
Courtney B
Yes, you'd need to turn the D750 into DX mode, which only uses part of the sensor
It basically turns the D750 back into a DX camera, which isn't utilizing its full potential
Got it. Works for now, but doesn't make sense. OK what do you recommend?
Courtney B
I would recommend getting a full frame lens, such as the 24-70mm lens
Or 24-120mm f/4
Prices?
Courtney B
Are you ok with refurbished?
Or do you prefer new?
should I be OK with reburbished?
not sure
budget limited
Courtney B
Ok
The refurbished 24-120mm lens is $529.95, which is an awesome savings
Brand new pricing is $1096.95
It's factory refurbished by Nikon and they have extremely high quality control on their refurbs
Looks good. Any other suggestions?
Courtney B
Sure!
The Sigma 24-70mm lens is the cheapest similar option available for $749
It has less focal range, but an f/2.8 aperture, which is nice for natural light photography
The Sigma is similar to my present one but works for full frame.
OK. Time to think this through. Back later Courtney!
Courtney B
You're welcome!
