Hi there! How are you? I'm James. Do you have any questions about cameras? Or how about questions pertaining to lenses? How can I help you today?
Hi James. I am in the market for a full-frame DSLR camera that I can use for photos and high def video.
I understand the Canon 6D is good?
James S.
Oh absolute, the 6D is a great camera.
I am not a professional photographer, more amateur. This camera is being purchased for my boss to use at our office.
I would taking photos and shooting video for our website.
What kind of lens/external flash would you recommend?
James S.
Well, what sort of videos are you planning to make?
Hmm. Probably client testimonials, short marketing videos, capturing events and conferences, editing them down, and posting to the website.
Good quality but we are not shooting commercials or anything like that
James S.
Okay, let me grab some suggestions. I'll be right with you. :-)
Thanks!
James S.
btw, what is the budget for lenses?
I can spend up to $3,000 total for everything.
James S.
Okay, thank you for that.
I'd recommend this lens for the photography you'll be doing.
It's a decent range for commercial purposes that you'll be needing. And it's top quality for a very good price.
Great, what other accessories do I need?
A flash? What about microphone for video?
James S.
For a video lens, you don't have it in your budget for a cinema lens, so I picked out a high quality lens that will do great for videos without spending several thousand on a lens alone.
It's a 35mm, which will be great for everything you mentioned.
Ohh. you can't do one lens for photo and video?
James S.
Honestly, you're not going to get the quality you're looking for if you do.
Do I need an external flash?
James S.
I don't think you NEED one, but you might find yourself in situations where it would be handy.
Do you sell kits that would have the camera and both lenses together, or do you have to buy separately?
James S.
Unfortunately not.
The kit lenses that come with cameras are generally not of great quality.
If you do decide on a getting a flash, I recommend the following...
Ok, do you know anything about warranty?
James S.
Everything comes with a 1 year warranty and additional extended warranties are optional purchases you can make from within your cart and/or during checkout.
Ok, thanks, will add these things to my shopping cart now.
Thank you for all your help.
James S.
Great! Did you have any other questions today? Were you looking at any other products?
No, that's it, thanks.
James S.
Okay, take care. :-)
