Courtney I'm fairly new and looking for a good macro lense for a Nikon d7000

But is another great option!
How close are you with the 85mm to focus
Which is actually very close when you factor in the 85mm focal length
It gives a true 1:1 magnification, which is the base for all macro lenses
I have read good reviews on the sigma. Is it worth the extra cost
The nice thing about the Sigma is that it has stabilization
But the Nikon 85mm also has that feature
stabilization is really great for macro work since you're working so closely
And any little camera movement makes a big impact
