Hi there! How are you? I'm James. Do you have any questions about cameras? Or how about questions pertaining to lenses? How can I help you today?
I have simple canon T4 EOS rebel and i want to upgrade the lens to hopefully pictures. I have a new born so mostly indoor low light shots.
James S.
Okay. :-)
The lens you're looking at, the 50mm f/1.4 would be great for that.
What about the canon 50mm 1.2
James S.
That would be even better in low light as it has the f/1.2
Which one are you speaking of though?
Made by canon ef 50 actually1.4
James S.
This one?
Yes
James S.
That would also do well. It's just not as good quality as the first one you were looking at. The Sigma is a professional level performance lens.
Priced accordingly 900 for the sigma vs 400...1.2s appear to be the 1000s
James S.
Right.
Is there a recommened lens
James S.
I'm sorry?
Is there a versatile lens you recommend given the entry level body of the Rebels
James S.
Well, a more versatile lens would be a zoom lens. What are you shooting with currently?
Stock lens. EFS 18_55
James S.
Okay, so lets see if we can find you a zoom with a decent aperture.
So, unfortunately any of the zooms with decent apertures are over $1000
Sorry for the questions, but do need zoom if I plan on taking mostly indoor pictures of my baby?
Do I need
James S.
No, for just indoor shoots like that, I'd recommend one of the 50mm f/1.4s
Last ?. Besides the 900 sigma, is there another slightly less?

Hmm. Let me see
Perfect thank you!
James S.
Of course! :-)
