Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at the Canon 10-22mm lens?
Did you have some questions about this lens today?
Hi, I have a lumix camera and I would like to know if this lens would be compatible with it.
Courtney B
Ok! This lens will not work on your Lumix camera without an adapter
This lens is built to fit onto Canon DSLR cameras only.
Which Lumix camera do you have?
Just give me two minutes, I need to go check, I believe it is a GF1
Courtney B
Ok! Sounds good :-)
It sounds like you probably have a micro four thirds camera either way
Yes, it is a GF1, but right now I have two lenses, one that is very simple which came with the camera and with which I cannot zoom or take pictures from far away, and another one which I bought to make portraits. Now I would like to buy one to make photographs of landscape/scenary. What would you recommend I purchase?
Courtney B
Ok! Sounds great!
Let me bring up some options for you!
Those are all great wide angle lens options which would be compatible with your camera
The Panasonic lenses will function the best, but the Olympus lenses will work fine too
I'd personally recommend the Panasonic 7-14mm lens for more dramatic landscapes
The thing is that it is a little bit above my budget. And also, I am afraid it will weigh too much. What do you think?
Courtney B
Let me see
It looks like it's probably a 14-45mm lens that came with the camera
Yes, that is it. So each time I want to take a picture of a place from a bit far away, the result is disappointing.
Courtney B
So something like this 12-32mm lens isn't going to be much wider than what you already have unfortunately
Are you trying to zoom in from far away?
Yes, I have the project of starting a blog with pictures of the city where I live
Courtney B
Ok! Then you don't want a wide angle lens! That's going to do the opposite of what you want.
If you want to zoom in from far away, you need a telephoto lens
Yes, I already have a wide angle lens, an Olympus one which I bought when my kids were born, to make portraits.
Courtney B
Ok!
Sorry for the misunderstanding!
Courtney B
No problem!
Let me bring up some telephoto lens options
This Panasonic 100-300mm lens would be a great option!
It's on sale for $547
