I'm looking for an upgrade from my kit lens for my Nikon d3300
I want a 50 mm fixed lens. Does one exist for my crop frame in the less than $250 range?
Jeff H.
Actually the lens you are looking at will work very well one your crop frame camera. I use one on my 7200
If you're wanting the 50 mm range the 35mm is what you need instead.
I've read that the additional crop factor will make it around 75? Will I to move farther back to get in background if I wanted that 50mm look?
Jeff H.
That is correct, to get the closest to 50 mm framing on your crop sensor you would need the 35mm I linked above.
It is the closest thing to a 50 you can get on a crop sensor.
oh the one you linked say Dix so will it be 35 mm or more like 52 ?
Jeff H.
52.5 to be exact
That is the closest thing to 50 mm you can get in a fixed lens for an ASP – C sensor.
ok thanks. I want it primarily for portraits and children so which of those two lenses might work best?
Jeff H.
For what you are asking the 35mm will get you the 50 mm framing you want/need.
Both are excellent lens but the 35mm is what you're looking for from what you stated earlier.
Ok great thanks!
Jeff H.
You're very welcome it also shows in stock and ready to ship
And at a good price of $169.95 refurbished
Was there anything else I can assist you with?
That's what I needed
Jeff H.
