what lens would take full advantage of the Pentax K-1's full-frame capabilities?
Joao M.
oh ok cool
it depends really, what kind of photography do you do mostly?
i do portrait and landscape
Joao M.
nice
did you want one lens to do both?
or two separate lenses?
i like having the flexibility of speed....and currently shoot a K-7 with the following lenses....would these work full-frame of just on the cropped settings?
smc pentax fa 28-105 4-5.6
smc pentax da 16-45 4.0
and a manual focus Tokina 80-200 mm 2.8 that i had bought over 20 years ago when i shot film
Joao M.
oh ok cool
they would work just on the cropped settings
you would need lenses designed for full frame
what lens would you recommend to be used in ff?
similar focal length ranges
Joao M.
(and on the side...do you work for adorama? i noticed you're from ga)
Joao M.
yea I am a chat advocate for Adorama, I live in GA though. We are not physically in the Adorama building
cool
Joao M.
did you see the lens I sent?
yes....that would be one
Joao M.
yea
that's the lens for you
what about the long tele-zoom? i also do some wildlife
Joao M.
it's in stock too
oh ok cool
like that one? check it out
i want a zoom
Joao M.
ah ok
flexible
Joao M.
something like a 50-200mm
or 80-200....with a better f-stop than that
or will that matter with the iso variations available on the k1
Joao M.
yea I guess it wouldn't really
but i just checked on this 50-200 and it seems to be a cropped lens
this one seems to be the one
Joao M.
yea this one is
so those two lenses could do it all?
Joao M.
yea! totally
is there a battery grip for the k-1 or does the one designed for the k-7 work for it?
Joao M.
here's one for the K1
