James S.
Hi there! I'm James. How are you? I see you're looking at cameras today. What are you planning to shoot with one?
I'm looking for work, we need something to shoot at events, to get full quality that can be used for advertising later, etc
James S.
Awesome! What's your budget today?
It's pretty flexible, the biggest concern is meeting our needs, I'd say about $4k with everything taken care of is ideal
James S.
Okay, great. Let me see what I can find for you that'll work for your business needs.
awesome
James S.
Let's start off with a camera.
sounds good!
James S.
Now, seeing as you're just getting started with your equipment I have a suggestion. I'd go with a camera bundle.
It will include the camera and accessories necessary to maintaining your camera as well as getting those professional quality shots. What do you think?
That sounds like a great idea
James S.
Now the camera I've picked out for you is the Canon EOS-5D Mark III.
It happens to come in a bundle form that has a lot of great accessories.
Awesome! does it have an auto setting that's easy to use? Most of my team is well experienced, but, I do have a couple that are not as much
James S.
Oh, absolutely!
perfect!
James S.
The camera itself is one that will definitely get you the photo quality you're looking for and the auto setting is pretty intuitive. You won't have an issue there.
perfect, let's do that one then
James S.
Awesome.
Now, as far as the bundle goes, it includes quite a few accessories.
It includes a shoulder bag for carrying your camera when not in use.
A memory card, an extra battery pack, and a screen protector.
awesome, that sounds great, what lenses does it come with?
James S.
Here you've got a couple different options.
A 24-100mm lens or a 24-70mm are additional options you can select.
cool, what kind of distance do you think I can shoot at with either of those?
James S.
Well, if distance/zoom is your concern here then I definitely recommend the 24-100mm option as it has a greater range than the 24-70mm.
yeah, I'm wondering if I need a longer one in addition to that as well
but, we also take close up/portrait style ones occasionally as well
so I will probably need multiples
James S.
Okay, that sounds good to me.
The 24-100mm lens is a bit of a multi-purpose lens.
Let me show you some lenses that will give you a bit more zoom first. How's that sound?
perfect
James S.
This is the Canon EF 70-300mm.
This one will give you a much greater zoom than the 24-100mm.
excellent, that looks perfect
James S.
Awesome. And you said you'll be doing portraits as well?
yep
James S.
Okay, great.
For portraits I would personally go with the EF 50mm f/1.4 lens
That's going to allow you to take perfect portraits.
awesome, that looks like exactly what I need to get started between the different ones we looked at
James S.
And it's on sale right now!
So everything we covered today includes the camera, accessories, and some lenses.
excellent! and yeah, we totally did, this was much easier than I expected
James S.
I think you'll be up and running in no time. It also comes in right at your budget.
Do you have any questions about this equipment we've picked out?
I think I'm good really
James S.
Okay, perfect. I hope you have a great rest of your day and if you ever have any questions regarding future equipment and purchases, we're always here!
Thank you. :-)
