Let me take a look. I believe they're made in Thailand
Actually, it looks like the 35mm is made in China
The same with the 85mm macro
Quality from China?

The same as any of Nikon's other factories
Their quality control is consistent across all of their factories
Really i thought the Japanese might be better

They actually don't make much of anything in Japan anymore
Almost everything has been moved to China and Thailand
Besides this 85mm what other macro lense do you recommend?

I personally like the Nikon 60mm macro and the 105mm macro lenses
