Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at lenses?
Do you have some questions about any in particular?
Or need help finding the right one?
I'm looking for a prime lens for Nikon that I could achieve a nice blur background, for a Nikon
Courtney B
Ok!
Which Nikon are you using?
Between d700 and d7100
Courtney B
Ok!
So a full frame and a crop sensor?
Do you have a budget for the lens?
Yes
Courtney B
Ok!
Around $600.00
Courtney B
Ok!
A 50mm lens is a very popular choice for blurred backgrounds
This is a great lens!
Very sharp and great in low light
Another good lens option is the 85mm f/1.8G if you want a longer focal length
I used to have that one but it produces a lot of chromatic aberration
Courtney B
Ok!
Another option would be the 28mm f/1.8G, but it wouldn't blur very much on the D700
I already have the 106 f2.0 but sometimes I have to stay far away from people, so I want to buy a medium distance lens
Courtney B
Ok!
Is there something similar in quality a low price?
Courtney B
So then the 50mm would probably be the best option
The 50mm f/1.8 would be lower priced
1.8 D?
Courtney B
Or the G
I prefer the G. It's faster to focus and a bit sharper
Does it worko on both formats?
Courtney B
Yes, it does
Does it have auto focus on a D3200?
Courtney B
Yes, it does
By any chance do you know if a Nikon d3200 takes pictures on high sync?
Courtney B
Let me see!
No, it doesn't
Ok, thank you
Courtney B
You're welcome!
Thanks, I'm going to take a look of the1.8 then.
Courtney B
Ok!
Sounds great!
Make sure to stop back in chat if you have any further questions, ok?
Thanks again!
Courtney B
You're welcome! :-)
