Hi! How are you? I noticed that you were looking at lens hoods?
Did you need some help finding one in particular?
yes i need a lens hood, 77mm for a nikon
Courtney B
Ok!
Which Nikon lens is it for?
nikon 24-70
Courtney B
Ok!
Here's the Nikon version
And we also have a cheaper ProOptic brand option
please tell me the difference between a bayonet and screw on
and what is a dedicated lens hood
Courtney B
The bayonet fits on a little differently. It's difficult to explain, but it has sort of an L shaped slot
A dedicated lens hood means that it's made specifically for a certain lens
This is important so that you get the optimal performance without seeing the lens hood in the corners of your images or so you don't get a lot of vignetting
ok how is the dedicated one attached?
Courtney B
It screws on
some of my hoods have two "buttons" that i squeeze and turn which kind is that
Courtney B
Which lens do you have that for?
I'm not familiar with that type of a hood
Just lens caps
i'm confused as to which kind to get
Courtney B
Ok. The Nikon 24-70mm lens needs a lens hood like this that screws on
I'd recommend getting the one that Nikon made for it
This is the proper hood for that lens http://www.adorama.com/NKHB40...
ok thank you very good to know. is this the best price you offer?
Courtney B
Yes, $29.95 is the lowest price that we have available for the hood
But we also have this ProOptic version available for $16.95, which is also made specifically for the Nikon 24-70mm lens http://www.adorama.com/PROLHH...
ok let me think about which one i want thank you for your help i appreciate it
Courtney B
You're very welcome!
Make sure to stop back in chat if you have any further questions, ok?
ok i will
Courtney B
Ok, great!
