Hi, welcome to Adorama! My name is Cory. Do you have camera questions? Or how about questions on a lens? How can I help you today?
Will this lens fit my Nikon D3200?
Cory R.
It won't auto focus but will fit
Is there one that's autofocus?
Cory R.
Yes the 1.8G
Can you send me the link?
Cory R.
This one, in the tray
I see. So a friend tells me I should get a 50mm lens because its good for portraits.
Now i'm also told since my camera is not full frame that the 50mm really means 75mm
So does that mean since I don't have a full frame camera I should go with a 30mm lens?
Cory R.
The 35mm is a better beginner portrait lens, the 50mm is a bit long due to the conversion rate
Or does my friend mean to really buy the 50mm?
I see.
Cory R.
The 50mm is a great lens, just the 35mm is helpful to start with for portraits as it's true to it's focal distance
For my camera or are you talking about 35mm for a camera that's full frame?
Cory R.
Your camera.
The af-s 35mm f/1.8G DX
ok for a camera that's not full frame, portraits go with a 35mm f1.8 lens.
Cory R.
Correct
for full frame cameras go with 50mm
Cory R.
Exactly
I think I see the light
lol
