Would you recommend the microphone for some small underground type concerts?

will you be shooting video at the concert? or just audio?
Video as well. I've been taking pictures for them for awhile now but they've asked about video. The microphone on my camera is rather poor..

yea, this shotgun mic would be great but remember they are designed to be directional, so if you move the camera around the audio would also change depending on what's in front of the camera. does that make sense?
Yes. I've rented a mic the past two times but i'd feel a lot more comfortable having my own. It'd help a lot. I normally set it up on a tripod so moving shouldn't be an issue
