Hello! my name is Eric how can I help?
do you have a question about the zoom h1?
I actually do. I have a Zoom H1 that I recently purchased to start doing youtube video vlogs. I am unfamiliar with audio (totally new to it actually) and I was looking for a lavalier mic that would work nicely with it. I think most of the recordings will be done alone but there are times I may have someone with me. Any suggestions?
Eric T.
Sure. let me see what we have. do you have a price range by the way?
I was thinking around $100 but I can go up if it makes a difference in sound quality
it's important that it sound professional
Eric T.
This mic kit is discouted right now you can get two pretty good mics for under 100
how does that look?
If I just wanted one I would probably go with this audio technica
it looks good but I feel in over my head on this. lol My friend had suggested a Rode
Eric T.
rhode mics are great, but they are considerably more expensive
I like that the first one you sent me had two indiviual mics. Would I need adapters or anything?
Eric T.
To use both at the same time you mean?
I'm okay with more expensive if the quality is a lot better.
yes
Eric T.
anyway from waht I can see the h1 can only handle one mic at a time regardless of adapter. my advice would be this
if you want cheaper go with the technica, but if you can afford the rhode definately go with it. heres the link
Okay, that's the one I was looking at. I saw a smart phone one but I wasn't sure if it would work with the zoom 1
Eric T.
Yeah it will. both of the ones ive shown you use the same input cable type
you will probably need this actually, the h1 uses a 3.5mm
whats the differences between the one you just sent me and this one: http://www.adorama.com/rdslpl...
Eric T.
The quality of the mic
and the cable input is 3.5 wihtout an adapter on that one
The More expensive mic can handle much louder noise without clipping and such
got it. I think I'll go with the more expensive one. I really appreciate your help.
Eric T.
sure! dont forget to also pick up the adaptor when you decide to checkout.
will do. Thanks again!
