Hello! my name is Eric how can I help?
do you have a question about the mackie pro?
Hi Eric, I saw this promotion and want to buy it but I want to know is it good for home karaoke and how should I set it up?
My name is Minh
Eric T.
Nice to meet you minh, if you are looking for something for home karaoke you probably want something a little less complicated
How does this speaker look?
I already have the speakers, a preamp and a mixer with the shure wireless mics. I want to find something that may improve the music and voice mixed together to get a better quality for singing. is it one good for it?
Eric T.
ah ok
well you definately dont need something as complicated as the mackie for something like that
Reloop BeatMix is a fun way to do things like that
which one would give me a better mixed sound for music and vocal?
Eric T.
I dont think the difference would be noticiable
the mackie pro is a more professional piece of gear, so if you want to do other things other than karaoke mixes you might want to go with it anyway
and with the deal going on its actually the same price
so I might actually reccomend the mackie
is this better than the Boston Audio mixer amplifier?
which I currently have
Eric T.
let me try and find that so i can make a comparison
do you know which one you have?
does the Boston Audio 4800PRO-II Karaoke Mixer sound familiar?
I dont remember the actual model number bec Im not at home right now but I think PA1000
Eric T.
ok
I dont think you will get a significant increase in quality just from the mixer
your money might be better spent on a better mic setup?
yes, it's PA1000 and you think I shuoldn buy this Mckie but buy better mics?
Eric T.
I think you will get better results out of that yeah
which mics do you have again?
Shure wireless dual mics
Eric T.
are these what you own?
yes
Eric T.
Hmm those are pretty good. as well.. Im trying to find what would be the biggest bottleneck in your system
Maybe you are right after all with the mackie choice. let me take another look at our mixers
I dont mean to run you around in circles here :/
well for the price it looks like the mackie will yeild the most performance benefits
if you can afford it i would reccomend going with the Mackie ProFX16v2 but the deal isnt there
Thks for your assistant. I learned something new today. I have some technical knowleged but couldnt seem to adjust the mixer to get the right vocal sound thats why I want to get something that may help me to improve that
Eric T.
Right. I think your initial insticnt was correct after all though. sorry we took so long. is there anything else I can help with?
so this one FX12 will help some ? and how does it compare with the FX16
Eric T.
the fx16 has more channels and better hardware, but the fx12 is pretty close. the main thing is you get better control over the mix. which will help you get a better sound
which both of them will do equally
in your case.
OK. thank you very much for your help today ..have a good day
Eric T.
you as well. thanks for chatting!
