Jeff H.
Hello, welcome to Adorama how are you today? My name is Jeff, how can I assist you?
hi jeff, i have a question on prof. camcorders and wireless mics.. my company is needing to invest in both and im unsure which camcorder i should get to pair up with a wireless mic system.. and which one..
Jeff H.
What will the camcorder be used for? What distance does the wireless mics need to the camcorder? Also, what price range do we have to work with today?
We are an RV Dealership and will be doing walkthroughs on our units. so technically we're looking at a 3'-12' range.
also i would like something with auto white balance, auto focus, and something in a possible 4k
price isn't really an issue.
but we dont want to be in the 10k$ range....
Jeff H.
Something like this would give you 4K video without breaking the bank and also has a mic jack free wireless mic if you find you need it. You may not at that closer range
You can always pick one up later if you do need it
Thanks Jeff, we also need to ensure we have something that can get into tight spots. Whats the focal length on this?
and also the aperture
Jeff H.
Let me check I need to get back to the camera I was looking for a wireless mic
whats a step up from that cam in the sony brand?
Jeff H.
we really want to get something pretty high end..
Jeff H.
This would be a step up in it also includes a shotgun mic for better audio that would probably work well in place of a wireless.
we would prefer a wireless to attach to the narrarator. .
Jeff H.
I understand that you wanted a step up in this was a step up and I see the bundle includes a shot in my I will still look for a wireless set up as well.
thank you jeff
Jeff H.
This is the wireless set up. I personally use. It comes with both a lapel mic and a handheld microphone. It has really good sound quality.
Do we have any UHF options?
Jeff H.
I'm not sure, let me see if I can search on that.
Sadly I do not see any way of narrowing a search to UHF.
so as far as keeping within the sony brand do any of these offer good stability control?
stabilization options?
Jeff H.
Yes, they have built in stabilization
we were looking at the HXRNX100 but we want to ensure it has wirless mic capability and also something in comparison that offers 4k
Jeff H.
This page should show you all the specifications if not when you scroll down click on the "Specs" and it will tell you all about the camera.
so if I'm reading this right, the lens goes from 9.3mm - 111.6mm?
Jeff H.
Sorry my computer is acting slow. I'm trying to see if it takes a wireless mic as well.
meaning a pretty wide angle for what we're needing?
thank you.
Jeff H.
Actually it goes from wide to short telephoto and would work well indoors. It would not work very well zooming 100 yards or something that would have no problem with the few feet. You mentioned earlier.
we would basically be doing RV walkthroughs meaning we are going to be in some tight spots...
this would work. correct?
Jeff H.
we need wireless.. not a boom shotgun
Jeff H.
This is the microphone that is showing as an accessory. It would work well in the enclosed environment you are talking about. I do not see a wireless mic as accessory
the owner would like to have wireless mic options is that not something offered anywhere?
Jeff H.
This is the Mike shown as an accessory, I linked it so I could pull it up and see the connector type that way maybe I can match a wireless system that way.
do you sell the UWP-D11?
Jeff H.
Yes we do, I tried to link it twice for some reason it did not come through.
There is. If you added to cart you will get a special price.
i cant see anywhere if this is 4k or not..
it says high definition....
would that only be 1920x1080?
Jeff H.
Possibly, I skipped over the video part real fast since you actually link the camera. Let me pull it back up.
That is correct, it only does high-definition but that is still really good quality video.
okay. im still stuck on the wide angle capability.. it says 9mm but it also says 29mm equivalent..
what does that mean?>
Jeff H.
If you is using a 35mm film camera to get the same framing you would use a 29 mm lens. That is why I said it would work well and not really that wide. It is a wide-angle but not considered ultra wide
When you see something like that. That just means it has a smaller sensor than a 35mm film camera. It does not affect the quality of the video. However, it does affect the lenses needed to achieve the same framing.
so how wide is the lens on this camera?
how wide can we go?
Jeff H.
The equivalent of a 29 mm on a 35 mm format camera. It is a wide-angle.
It claims to have a 9 mm lens on the wide in which is really good when looking at numbers.
so we will be really good in tight areas then?
Jeff H.
Yes it will work inside the RVs you are wanting to shoot in really well.
nice!
Jeff H.
The best part is there is a 90 day return policy if you're unhappy with the product
Or find it does not do exactly what you needed.
okay so basically we have we want. HD quality, wireless mic capability, stabilization and wide angle
Jeff H.
That is correct
this sounds great i will relay this to the owner and get this going with Adorama. I really appreciate it
Jeff H.
You're very welcome, I'm sure you will enjoy this new equipment and it will work very well for you. Was there anything else I can assist you with?
just a quick question on the wireless mics. Once hooked up to the camera where is the receiver placed?
the transmitter is on the camera right?
and the receiver is on the person?
Jeff H.
The receiver is on the camera, the transmitter is on the person.
oh ok.. does the transmitter have a clip to attach to clothing?
and where is the receiver placed on the camera?
Jeff H.
Checking to see what comes with it
The receiver on the camera you need to be strapped to it, Velcro, left hanging, etc.
Actually comes with the issue mail adapter for the camera and I do not see anything about the receiver but my cheaper version came with a belt clip so I'm sure these probably due to.
thats perfect .. Thank you again so much for your information.
Jeff H.
Sorry, hot shoe adapter for the camera. Silly voice recognition software LOL
i really appreciate it and will get back to you asap! haha oh nice! thats perfect!
