Hi! I'm Dan. How are you?
Did you have a video accessory question I could help with?
yes, is this a new alternative to a flash that can be used on a D300s or a D500? I want to get some sort of flash for either camera
Daniel H.
that is a continuous light.. often used in video for lighting a subject for the duration of the shot.
Would that work for continuous shooting for a burst of photos? or Do I need another kind for that kind of burst?
Daniel H.
You could do that
you may not get as much light out of it compared to what you are used to with a burst flash
and also cont. lighting (c/l) doesn't have the controls you are used to with ttl etc flashes
they are usually on off
some have a bit of brightness controls.. but not auto mated
Oh thanks. What kind of flash then would be a burst flash that could reach birds in trees, etc.
Daniel H.
hmm perhaps a high powered flash suitable for a zoom lens?
what kind of camera do you have again?
I have a Nikon D300s and am contemplating the D500 Yes with a zoom
Daniel H.
okay cool one moment
did you have a budget range you wanted to stay within?>
I don't know what they normally cost, but I surely don't want to pay over $500. I would like something in the $200 range if it is available and if it is highly rated. I want something reliable.
Daniel H.
okay great -- thank you
were you planning to use other flashes in a system with it?
No
Daniel H.
ok
That Vivitar power zoom would be my best suggestion..
Thank you very much for the info and time that you spent with me!
Daniel H.
welcome! were there any additional questions you had on a flash or any other camera related question?
No thank you.
Daniel H.
cool -- hope you have a great day!
same to you!
