I have a d610 use a flashpoint zoom li-on what do I need to set up two slave flashes on my unbrellas
or should I use fill light for my indoor portraits

I would use fill light 2 slaves may be way to much for a portrait,

The TTL often is not consistant

I use those personally and have not had any issues.
So the setup would be two light boxes and the flashpoint
Some time you watch the online videos and they leave you more confused.

Yes you can always get lenses as you need then the 50mm is pretty versatile.
