So, in terms of a transmitter I'd say your best bet would be the Air 1 Commander...
The price for it is pretty decent, not to mention.
Will it activate a half-f43am Sony flash?

The only reason I'm not sure is because I've never worked with it. I wouldn't want to tell you one thing and not have it work. I would probably refer to calling Sony customer service just to be careful.
