hello! how are you? do you have a camera question for me?
Want a gorilla pod with grip tight mount that will hold an iPhone 6S in case = ~72mm. The bundle I see looks like the mount might be just a little small. I'm already ordering a grip tight mount for my existing gorilla pod. The second gorilla pad + mount is for my husband, who has an identical phone. I wouldn't mind having an extra standard shoe(?) that allows a quick mount to my regular camera.
Eric T.
alright. so you want a tripod with a phone mount is that correct?
Yes, with the phone mount big enough to fit the larger phone - I think the XL phone mount is it.
Eric T.
Right, I think a universal thing might do the trick
how does this look?
or do you want a full length tripod?
That's closer to what I want: a gorilla pod with adaptors that will let me attach both my regular camera and my iPhone. Does this exist?
Eric T.
yes
You will need the base gorrilla pod and then the phone holder seperately
you could use a regular tripod too if you wanted to just use the mount
That one is on backorder my bad.
I was looking at (and have in my cart) JB00151-CEN K. My question is -->will this mount accept a phone 72mm wide?
Eric T.
I think so but let me confirm
Yes 54 - 72mm :-)
I'd rather have the mount for the XL size that goes from 69-99mm.
Does this package include the quick connector that holds a regular tripod-ready camera?
Eric T.
Yes I think so
you mean the Quick Release Clip correct?
Yes
Eric T.
yes thats in the gorrilla pod package
Hmmm. Husband just hefted his camera (NOT a point-and-shoot) so the regular lightweight gorilla pod won't support it. Guess we need the heavier-weight gorilla pod.
Thinking it over...
Eric T.
okay. you could also use a regular tripod with the joby grip
He just found his little folding tripod that will hold his camera. So we're covered there. Still looking for the gorilla pod that has a quick connector for a regular point-and-shoot AND an XL gripper for iPhone.
Eric T.
The closest thing I can think of is the gorilla mounts that are out of stock, I would say sign up to be notified when they do, maybe use the one you have and a smartphone attachment in the meantime?
I see as "in stock and ready to ship" the JB00151. I can buy that for him, plus two of JB01323 so we each have holders for the smartphones.
Eric T.
those ones are avaliable Im a little worried about the 11.5 oz limit though
do you think that will support your gear?
He has a camera tripod already. Just looking for something to put the iPhones on.
Eric T.
that would definitely work then :-)
I think we've gotten it figured out. Thanks for your patience and your help.
Eric T.
no problem. let me know if you need any help going through checkout or something
OK. Bye.
